George Bullard (Age – 19, Height – 190cm)

George is on a year out between high school and university. Having returned from South Georgia and the Falklands with BSES, he was been bitten by the ‘exploration bug’. This expedition is an ideal opportunity to further develop his polar experience after leaving Eton College where he gained A-Levels in Biology Chemistry and Russian and an AS in Maths.
Eton not only gave him the opportunity to travel to far off places but it also gave him the chance to get seriously involved in open water swimming. With his coach, Nick Adams, a team of six were lucky enough to take on the English Channel in 2003 , a swim around Manhattan in 2004, Barbados (2006). Finally, last year George completed a marathon swim in Lake Zurich. Since then he has been sailing down in the South Atlantic and exploring one of the most pristine environments on planet Earth, South Georgia. The Trans Greenland expedition will offer him an experience that will stay with him for the rest of his life.
